Vern Patrick School sent four robotics teams to the tournament.  There were 25 teams at the competition, ranging in age from 9 years old to 14 years old.  Vern Patrick's teams were the Aquabots, the Black Pearls, the Pretzels, and the Terminators.  All seven of our fourth and fifth grade teachers were the coaches.  Mrs. Decker's husband was our technical coach.  We also had five high school and middle school mentors.  Our teams were all considered "rookie" teams and did very well.  The Black Pearls team won the first place trophy in the Robot Performance Category.  Here are some photos of our day.  The students loved being part of the team and are now looking forward to next year!
