The Lego Robotics Club is coached by the
fourth & fifth grade teachers with the technical assistance of Mrs.
Decker's husband. It is open to 28 fourth and fifth grade
students. Students learn to work as part of a team, build and
program a Lego robot and solve design challenges. Teams also
prepare a research project related to this year's competition theme,
Ocean
Odyssey. This year's competition is held on December 4,
2005 at Mountain View High School. Vern Patrick School will have 4
teams represented at the tournament. We would like thank the
Oregon Robotics Tournament Outreach
Program (ORTOP) for the scholarships that brought this program to our
school.
